World's First Autonomous HMI/UX Development for Mercedes-Benz
Role: Project Lead | Period: 12 months, 2017-2018
Mercedes-Benz required an innovative, integrated HMI solution for autonomous vehicles that could detect and interpret eye and head movements, gestures, and body posture. As a Product and Project Manager, I led the planning and development of an advanced full-body sensing and interaction system, collaborating closely with UX teams and engineering departments. Leveraging my expertise in HMI/UX planning, gesture detection algorithms, and multimodal interaction frameworks, I directed the creation of an intuitive driver interaction system. I successfully integrated predictive gesture recognition, eye, head, body, and toe movement detection with real-time feedback mechanisms, building a comprehensive Control and Monitoring System for autonomous vehicles. This breakthrough solution not only set a new industry standard for intuitive driver-vehicle interaction but also significantly enhanced operational safety and user experience.
